It all began as a dream and a plan on a pad of paper.
It all started with the introduction of the Real Estate Maximum concept in 1973 by the founders Dave and Gail Liniger, which revolutionized the real estate market. The idea was simple: attracting the best real estate agents by providing various competitive advantages all under the RE/MAX brand. Better commission plans for associates, a unique training system and state-of-the-art technology helped RE/MAX to take off. The idea has since proven highly successful and enabled us to evolve into an extensive international network of real estate professionals.
RE/MAX ARRIVES SRI LANKA
RE/MAX has been operating in Sri Lanka since April, 2015 with the leadership of Mr. Sujan Shan, the Regional Owner, a Sri Lankan who has been successful in Toronto, Canada for over a decade. He is also, well known as Condo King.

However, Mr Shan did not forget his motherland and planned to establish RE/MAX in Sri Lanka by introducing the most successful business model with his vision to revolutionize the real estate industry by bringing professionalism, such as training and uplifting the current realtors with high technology, global presence and referral networking.
Mr Shan then chose the World Trade Center, the commercial HUB at Level 09,East Tower, Echelon square, Colombo 01 as the Sri Lankan Head Office.

Mathany Ganesh is the Regional Director of RE/MAX Sri Lanka, Mathany partnered up with Mr Sujan Shan Regional owner of RE/MAX Sri Lanka both combined together has over 10 years of experience in the real-estate industry and both are consistently successful realtors attached to RE/MAX Crossroads in Toronto Canada. Specializing in preconstruction Condos, residential and commercial, she has shown tremendous initiative and tenacity to reach great heights in her chosen career.
They each brought their individual capabilities and experience backed by the recognitions and has received all levels of RE/MAX club awards from Lifetime Achievement (over $3 Million in GCI), Hall of Fame (over $1 Million in GCI) , Titan ($750,000 to $999,999 in GCI/yr), Chairman's Club ($500,000 - $999,999 in GCI/yr),Platinum Club ($250,000 - $499,999 in GCI/yr) to100% Club ($100,000 - $249,999 in GCI/yr) and also recognized by one of industries best developers the 50 Million Dollar Founders Club of Lanterra Developments.
Mathany, a proactive and forward-thinking individual with strong leadership skills and a natural attitude in thinking strategically lead her to join Sujan in starting a new phase in the history of bringing RE/MAX into their motherland Sri Lanka. Mathany has an ambitious vision to revolutionize the real-estate industry in Sri Lanka by developing a strong network of licensed and trained professional agents by providing them high technology, global presence, referral networking, incredible brand awareness, educational opportunities and other competitive advantages. She has been a driving force behind the rapid expansion of the RE/MAX brand and its well-received image among the community. She has set the vision of ensuring that RE/MAX Sri Lanka will become the market leader by attracting and empowering highly trained, skilled and motivated legion of realtors who will strive to make RE/MAX one of the most recognizable brands in Sri Lanka as per the RE/MAX philosophy worldwide.
She graduated with Bachelor of Science degree from the world renowned University of Toronto in Canada and entered the field of Research and Development conducting clinical trials with Cardiology and Oncology patients working with some of the most recognized hospitals across the globe from Toronto, Chicago to London. She has combined her with her desire to help others along with client service skills to achieve their dreams to transition into the real-estate industry where she has certainly made her mark both in Canada and Sri Lanka.
Mathany discovered her passion to help those less fortunate at a young age and continues to dedicate time and resources to help people from various countries to lead a better life. Even though she has left the country and migrated to Canada as a little girl, she along with Sujan Shan has formed the RE/MAX Sri Lanka Hope Foundation to give back to their motherland.
A family-run business raised RE/MAX to Number One in Europe
In 1995, Walter Schneider and Frank Polzler navigated the RE/MAX balloon to Europe, establishing the European headquarters in Zug, Switzerland and Vienna, Austria. They were the driving force behind the expansion of RE/MAX into the Canadian market in 1980 and 15 years later into Europe.

Today their family-run business represents 30% of RE/MAX worldwide. Born into this family of real estate pioneers, Michael Polzler holds the role of Managing Director of RE/MAX Europe. Pursuing the tried-and-tested system and adding his entrepreneurial spirit and vision, the RE/MAX network in Europe has grown to more than 14,000 agents operating in 32 countries across the continent.
